Alternative special-purpose Gateways references

Overview

This document provides information about Alternative special-purpose Gateways references.

These are the reference strings used in our database to identify the source/type of a transaction:

• Manual (manual)

  • Reference for transactions created through administrative actions
  • Used when an admin manually assigns a plan or issue to a user

• Bulk (bulk)

  • Reference for transactions imported via CSV files
  • Used when recording mass assignments of plans or issues

• External (external)

  • Reference for institutional or external sales transactions
  • Used when recording externally processed transactions

• LTI (lti)

  • Reference for transactions created through LTI authentication
  • Used when a plan is automatically assigned via LTI

• SAML (saml)

  • Reference for transactions created through SAML authentication
  • Used when a plan is automatically assigned via SAML

• Total Discount (totalDiscountCoupon)

  • Reference for transactions using 100% discount coupons
  • Used when recording free access granted through coupons
